The following sites have been reviewed for their Halloween and autumn flower arrangements.

USAFlorist.com!

If you are more interested in fun Halloween arrangements, USAFlorist.com! by far has the best Halloween flower arrangements. They have the best variety of autumn arrangements using fall colored flowers and foliage along with arrangements with Halloween themes. Their arrangments include Halloween novelties such as pumpkin vases, spiders, ghosts, bats and candy corn. USAFlorist.com!
also offers Halloween treat gift baskets. Colors and flowers used in these arrangments include, orange and red gerber daisies, orange and red roses, fall colored chryanthemums, safflower, brown amaranthus, carnations, daisy mums, fall oak leaves and much more! Their unique arrangments also offer a mixture of green flowers, purple flowers, and special black accented foliage. I have so many favorite arrangements from this site! My top two would probably be the "Pick of the Patch Bouquet" and the "Sweet Corn Harvest."

Fresh flowers from $19.99! finally has some halloween arrangements. Proflower mostly just has arrangements with fall colored flowers. Lots of beautiful bright oranges and deep reds. Autumn Colors Flower Bouquet Its the only site I've seen with Orange Tulips. If you are looking to give more than flowers, they also have a variety of gift options, including a variety of fall treats and cookie bouquets.

1-800-FLORALS
also has a large variety of fall floral designs. They mostly do flowers, there is only one treat gift basket here. They offer several vase and container arrangements. Some of their unique items include arrangements in a class cube and a ceramic pumpkin. They also have several arrangements using sunflowers.

Just Flowers and Flower Delivery have the same fall flowers section: (are the same site...?)
In addition to many vase arragements, Flowers
offers many basket arrangments and centerpieces as well. They do not have any Halloween arrangmets specifically though. Most of their arrangments use yellow flowers, in addition to reds and oranges. Floral arrangments in baskets are great for displaying at an office, and they can last a long time if you continue to water them, floral foam needs watered added to it. Sometimes baskets or containers are more advantageous because you don't see they water get dirty when you don't clean it out. They have over eight pages of "Fall" arrangements, so check it out if you can't find what your looking for at Proflower or USAflorals.

To design an arrangement in a pumpkin, first clean out your pumpkin. Sprinkle flower food on the inside, this will help your carved out pumpkin to last longer. Flower Identification

When making fresh flower arrangements, it is beneficial to have a knowledge of all the many different flowers and their characteristics. When it comes to putting flowers in an arrangement, not all flowers are created equal. Some flowers hold up well when they are cut, and others do not. If you go to a flower website, and check out their flower glossary, you will get a pretty good idea of which flowers to use in your arrangements. 1800 florals.com has a great glossary of over 50 flowers. 1-800-FLORALS

Tips of Caring for Fresh Flowers

Many think that when they receive fresh flowers, they will only last for a couple of days. Actually, fresh flowers can last between one and two weeks. Properly caring for fresh flowers can help them last longer and enable them to blossom and become even more beautiful. This is possible because fresh flowers are often cut before they reach their blooming potential. They need energy to continue to open though, and plain water will not give them the energy they need. Flower preservative, or flower food, has three main components; sugar which provides energy, citric acid which lowers the pH, and a biocide which reduces bacteria growth. If flower food is not available, there are a couple of alternatives. Lemon-lime soft drinks or mouthwash can be used. These need to be diluted with water and should only be used if flower food is not available.

When you get fresh flowers, you will want to fill a vase with warm water and the little flower food packet that came with. It may not seem like that little packet will make much difference, but it will be the difference from your flowers wilting in two days without having opened up or lasting over a week and having your flowers open up. Warm water will allow the flowers to absorb more water faster and will enable the flowers to open up which cold water will not do.

Another important thing to do before putting your fresh flowers in water is to re-cut the stems. the stems will have closed up during transport and in order for them to get water, they need to be cut and opened up. A sharp knife or flower clippers are necessary to make a clean cut that will not smash the xylem and allow water into the flower.
